The first week of CSI** de Wolden was a week with much succes for VDL horses and for offspring of VDL Stallions.
Our approved stallion Zavall VDL made a clear round in the Grand Prix. Ridden by Jur Vrieling he finished 7th. Placed 2nd in this Grand Prix was Wigeunerin (Silverstone x Corland), ridden by Bart Haselbekke.
James Billington won 2 classes at CSI** de Wolden. On thursday he was with Boston VDL (Chin Chin X Indoctro) winner of the Youngster Tour. And yesterday he won the finals of the Small Tour with VDL Benibantos (Cardento x Orlando). Ernesto Canseco Olvera placed 5th in this final with Celebrity VDL (Indoctro x Emilion).
The finals of the Youngster Tour were won by Albert Zoer with the Cardento-mare Barbarella. Placed 5th was Celena VDL (Mr. Blue x Chin Chin ), ridden by James Billington and in 8th place finished again an offspring of Cardento: Bardolino (mf. Lux), ridden by Taizo Sugitani.
The approved stallion Bugatti VDL , and his rider John Popely, were clear in the jump-off of this final and placed 13th. In another class Bugatti jumped clear too and placed 7th..
Carat, also by Cardento, won with his rider Robert Vos a 1.30m class and Ursus (by Navarone), ridden by Michiel Brusse, won a 1.30m class against the clock.
