VDL offspring make their mark in Šamorín

At the international show in Šamorín, Slovakia, several VDL offspring once again delivered impressive performances. With victories at CSI1* and CSI3* level and several podium finishes, they have once again underlined the quality and versatility of the VDL bloodlines.

The biggest victory went to Zista Blue (by Zirocco Blue), who, under the German top rider David Will, convincingly won the CSI1* Grand Prix over 1.40m. The Zirocco Blue daughter was bred by P. Deichner. In the same class, Juggle Baraka (by Etoulon), bred by A.H. Vervelde, finished in a creditable sixth place with the Polish rider Milena Wójcikiewicz.

There was also success for a VDL offspring in the EY Cup U25 Grand Prix over 1.45m. Light-Kohinoor (by Cohinoor), bred by H.B. Dirksen and M.A. Hijlkema from Tirns, jumped to an impressive third place with the Austrian rider Sally Carina Zwiener.

A day earlier, Lorenzo (by Etoulon), bred by E.M. de Kroon, claimed victory in the spectacular Six Bar Competition. Ridden by the Italian Elisa Chimirri, he remained clear until the final jump and secured the win.

The younger horses and riders also achieved fine results. Mabaloe (by Bubalu), bred by Jan Aegten from Bocholt (Belgium), won the EY Cup U25 class over 1.35m with the German rider Ben Heckmann. In addition, there was a victory for Marie Goldlavsca (by Durango), bred by P. & A.M. Rinkes-Tjeenk Willink, who, ridden by the Polish rider Magdalena Piksa, claimed the Bronze Tour over 1.30m.
