DUBLIN - Icoon VDL (Bubalu x Cardento) and Hessel Hoekstra (NED) achieved a great result in their first ever Nations Cup competition at the CSIO5*-NC EUD1 in Dublin. The very talented combination finished fourth.
Icoon VDL is bred by the VDL Stud out of the same dam - B Dame VDL - as Mendoza VDL, who was placed third at the Irish Championships for five-year-olds.
But these were not the only successes: the Irish team won the Nations Cup, where an absolute star was played by Kilkenny (Cardento x Guidam) and Cian O'Connor (IRE). Kilkenny was bred by Sinead Brennan (IRE).
