On 21 May, they hit the ground running in the 1.45m class, where Farrel VDL (by Cardento) claimed victory with Coyle a clear round in a sharp time of 59.45 seconds.
Two days later, on 23 May, the pair put in an even more impressive performance in the 1.50m class. In an exciting jump-off, the by VDL Stud bred Cardento-son stayed clear and fast, with a winning time of 34.96 seconds, good for the top prize.
Second place in the same 1.50m class went to Canadian Kara Chad with Igor GPH (by Harley VDL), bred by A.M. Angenent-de Bruijn from Woubrugge. With another clear round and a time of 35.51 seconds.
