At the international competition in Kronenberg, offspring of VDL stallions once again made a strong impression. The highlight was the fourth-place finish for Ricardo Benzinho Karle Da Costa (BRA) with his talented Zirocco Blue son in the *CSI3 Grand Prix (1.55 m)**. The pair remained clear of faults in both the basic course and the jump-off, finishing in a fast time of 50.37 seconds, earning them prize money of €6,000. Zirocco was bred by H. Rooijakkers.
VDL offspring also secured impressive victories in the other classes. In the CSI1 Big Tour (1.35 m)*, victory went to Karin, a daughter of Baltic, ridden by Wesley de Boer (NED). The mare, bred by E. Vriend (Ansen), completed a clear round in 56.81 seconds.
In the CSIYH1* Youngster Tour (1.25 m) for six-year-old horses, victory went to Zindita Blue Z, a daughter of Zirocco Blue, ridden by Ernesto Canseco (MEX). The mare, bred by Auke de Jong Stables (Rutten), completed a clear round in 64.35 seconds. The pair also secured a third and fourth place.
On Thursday, too, the podium was dominated by VDL. In the CSIO3 class over 1.45 m*, Mamalou Fairy, a daughter of Bubalu, claimed victory with Liesje Vrolijk (NED). The KWPN mare completed a clear round in 66.90 seconds, securing the win. C.L. Vrolijk is the breeder of the Bubalu daughter.
