Irma-Riende (by Baltic) was successful in the CSI3 GOLD 4 Grand Prix (1.50m)*, where she excelled. In a strong jump-off, she remained clear and clocked 52.66 seconds, good for a magnificent second place and almost €10,000 in prize money.
On 19 February, Irma-Riende (by Baltic) also won convincingly with British rider Charlotte Ash, who rode the mare to a fast clear round in 59.14 seconds. F. Nobach is the breeder of the Baltic daughter. The Baltic VDL daughter thus demonstrates her impressive form and potential for the highest level.
In the Silver Tour Grand Prix 1.40m, Just Especíale (by Cardento) jumped to a fine 2nd place with Norwegian rider Siri Endresen. With two clear rounds and 38.52 seconds in the jump-off, they secured a nice top ranking. The breeder of the Cardento daughter is J.G.E. Delissen.
Kendrick von Hofe and Sweet Harry Potter (by Corporal) also recorded double clears and finished in a strong third place in the 1.40m on Saturday with a time of 40.15 seconds. The Corporal son is bred by Lundegard Equestrian Ab. With a consistent performance, Limoncello (by Freeman) finished in 4th place under Italian rider Matteo Zamana. The Freeman son is bred by M.M. Hooijmans.
Rider Julia Houtzager-Kayser rode Nintessa Morgenster SW (by Jenssen) to 8th place in the Grand Prix. The Jenssen daughter is bred by F. Swierstra-Luinistra.
Valencia
In Valencia, the Carrera son Charming Dream Z (by Carrera) finished in 4th place in a clear round with a time of 37.05 seconds. The Carrera, bred by LH.M. Sneijers, has been a successful combination with Niall Talbot for many years.
Vejer de la Frontera
Finally, there were more successes during the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera. Victories and top rankings were achieved in both the Big Tour 1.45m and the Medium Tour 1.50m.
A magnificent victory for Jargon DN (by Zirocco Blue) in the *CSI4 Big Tour 1.45m (LR)**. Under Irish rider Niamh McEvoy, the gelding jumped two clear rounds and the Zirocco Blue son, bred by D. Noordhuis, set the winning time of 35.61 seconds.
Imbeer (by Etoulon) also delivered a strong performance. With Russian rider Diana Kurochkina, they also remained clear twice and clocked 41.79 seconds, good for a nice 8th place. Breeder: G. Maris.
In the CSI4 Medium Tour 1.50m*, it was another win for a VDL offspring: Commander Lux (by Corporal) took the victory under Dutch rider Rogier Linssen. The pair rode a clear round in 34.69 seconds, leaving the rest of the field well behind. The Corporal son is bred by Sandra & Maria Olsson.
