During the season finale of the Global Champions Tour in Rabat, VDL Mattias once again showed his quality at the highest level. VDL offspring Iglesias D.V. and Jesther also achieved strong placings in the 1.60m classes.

VDL Mattias (Comme Il Faut x Catoki) finished fifth last Friday under Jur Vrieling in the 1.60m CSI5 GCL Individual Competition*. Mattias produced a very good round and repeated this strong performance on Sunday in the 1.60m Grand Prix. He had one rail down, but once again showed his quality at this high level.

Jesther (by Cardento) remained clear under Maikel van der Vleuten in the first 1.60m GCL Team Competition and finished sixth. Jesther was bred by G.J.A. Moerings from Roosendaal.

In the concluding 1.60m CSI5 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Rabat*, there was also a strong placing for Iglesias D.V. (by Quasimodo van de Molendreef). Under Irish rider Ciaran Nallon, Iglesias D.V. remained clear in the first round and qualified for the jump-off. The combination eventually finished in ninth place, earning €12,242 in prize money. Iglesias D.V. was bred by R. de Vries from Een-West.
