At the first day of the Young Horses World Championships in Lanaken the approved stallion VDL Empire (Emilion x Lord Calando) won the class for the 7-years old horses. With his rider Niklas Arvidsson VDL Empire was 2 times clear and had the fastest time in the jump-off. There were more good results for VDL horses. VDL Southwind (Baloubet du Rouet x Ahorn), ridden by Dennis van Tilburg, made a clear round but had 1 time fault in the class for the 7-years old horses.
In the class for the 5-years old horses there was a 2nd place for KM Ucarlo (Indorado x Ahorn), ridden by Jur Vrieling. The 5th place was for Ulina (Corland x Boreas), ridden by Heino van Loon and there was a 6th place for Unique (Indoctro x Wambur), ridden by Borut Knapic. In this class were clear rounds also for VDL Bordeaux (Baloubet du Rouet x Silvio II), VDL Branco (Darco x Almhugel de Lauzelle) and VDL Cogano (Contender xLagano). All these 3 horses are ridden by Vitor Teixera from Brasil.
